CMWSSB is responsible for supplying required drinking water with adequate pressure to the consumers. As of now, there is no system to account for the water being filled in the tankers and the number of trips made daily by each tanker could not correctly assessed. Owing to this, lot pilferages is happening, which finally results in non-delivering the water in needy areas.
The capacities of tanker lorries used are predominantly 6000 litres and 9000 litres. There are 41 filling stations with 191 filling posts, where the water filling activities are carried out.
